I am so happy! I met my goal of reading 100 books this yr! I am actually on my 103 book and getting ready to start the next one! I love my life!

I am so EXCITED!!!! 2 books away from my goal of 100 this year!!! I wonder what my last 2 books will be???????

The past few weeks have defiantly been different. But I think were getting used tothings not being normal around here. Hubby has been really great around the house but its hard for me cause I cant get back in my grove of things ... soon maybe

Today has been such a very trying day. we got some papers we knew we were gonna get but it didn't make it any easier getting them. I am choosing to look on the beautiful side instead of the horrible side, I was sitting outside at out patio table and my son(5) came and climbed into my lap and hugged me tight ,he took my klenex and even wiped my nose and said mommie don't cry, I love you! My beautiful side is my amazing lil 100% rough n tough boy gave me the light I needed to know it will soon pass :) I love my lil man!

Sunny days are here again

What a day! we took our kiddos out to a community pool and they (us included) had a blast! we all got a bit to much sun but thankfully tomorrow we all should be a bit less pink. I am so excited and looking forward to the next school yr! We have so many fun things planned!

Its a beautiful spring day out. I am very determined to have a good day no matter what is thrown my way... altho right now its a struggle I wont let life's lil issues hinder my view of how lucky I am to be having this day!

Its been a while

so much has gone on since Easter! people moving away,people staying,reading tons, and being busy with the pta I love my life!

Angels

Today we took our kiddos to Mt. Scott. My lil girl told me that it was better than going to the zoo....which is something she LOVES!!!! we drove to the top, hiked around on some boulders amd got to see some very pretty sites. The best part is when my lil girl got really excited to see all her "angels" (wind farms)
We have some really tired kiddos!

Hearts

In my mind I can feel your  familiar shape,feel the coolness of the metal on my finger. I look down and reality sets in and I see nothing.
I wonder if you are safely tucked away. I dream of a day when I get to hold you and acknowledge the emotions that brought you into my life. I know you were bought with things in mind that are close to my heart, bought by someone who listened to me ..who knew and still knows me.
Someday i will know the familiar feeling of your shape and know it was all true

This weekend has been wonderful from watching the kids play with the cars they built at home depo to cleaning the back patio off spending time with my girl. I am truly blessed!

Lent for me

Today I am reminded that tomorrow is lent..... Even tho I am not catholic I always give something up that I do daily but could improve. This yr I am gonna give up the "comfy stay at home mommie" look..For those of you who have or are there you know what I mean..I am gonna make an effort daily to look better,do something more productive daily..just be a better me. I have fallen into a comfortable rut and I am ready to pull myself out of it...wish me luck!!!!!

TO BOOK OR NOT TO BOOK?

Over the weekend I went into my fave bookstore and for the first time I was not compelled to buy a book...I had the strangest feeling I was cheating on Troy(my kindle). It was a very odd feeling, I am wondering if this is something anyone else is going thru  also or am I just NUTZO!!

Woke up this morning to a beautiful snow covered day.....FINALLY!!!Tomorrow is VALENTINES day and our 10th Anniversary of the day we met I'm thinking of a special dinner hmmmmmmmm

Today I sit and remember what I did for my 30th b-day...what my friends did to make it memorable. we packed up and went to Mt. Scott and hiked thru the reserve and drank champagne. I wonder coming up on my 40th if there is something I wanted to do to mark the occasion, are there things I wanted to do but didnt... things I need to do but havent....

In the car this morning my girl yells out "a turkey mom!!! I see a turkey" In my head I think ok maybe she saw one on a billboard or off a truck.... nope she said a turkey in the cloud upside down..and I'll be damned it looked like a turkey upside down :) gotta love it!

Being a kid today!

I love having young kids...I get to play in clay with them and not feel guilty LOL

Another Day in my paradise!

Today I CHOSE to look at the bright side of things and I am very glad I did. In return  I was rewarded with 2 non-fighting kids, a new game for my son to play, I won a prize in a book hop (thx Pam Asbery ) we got our w-2's in today and I found some cute stuff for my lil girls goody bags for her b-day party :) yep so far its been a wonderful day!!!!

looking in my rearview mirror  I see three beautiful girls and one funny lil boy laughing singing at the tops of their lungs. Hair flying everywhere...wind blasting thru the trk. beautiful sunshine outside. I love to hear the kids laughing..... so I sing and dance with them as were rolling down the road, wind blowing,hair flying,songs blasting,kids laughing......yes that memory makes me smile!
